Seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to work within the Nanoparticle Formulation group. The qualified candidate will perform cell-based assays to evaluate nanoparticles for delivery of nucleic acids and/or gene editing cargo. The candidate may also be asked to prepare and characterize nanoparticles formulations following established protocols. This entry-level position is a great opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience in nucleic acid delivery and nanoparticle formulation, while contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge gene-editing technology.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow aseptic protocols to maintain and passage mammalian cell culture lines
  • Perform in vitro transfection assays to assess transfection efficiency and cell viability
  • Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparation and characterization of nanoparticles
  • Communicate with supervisor and team members on ongoing experiment status
  • Document results in lab notebook



  • BS degree in Chemistry or Biology or related discipline, with 0-2 years industry experience
  • Tissue culture experience required
  • Must be able to follow protocols with attention to details
  • Experience in nanoparticle or nucleic acid is desirable
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
