Bethany Cavanagh

Bethany Cavanagh is the Senior Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and Principal Accounting Officer at Beam Therapeutics, where she oversees financial strategy and management, and plays a key role in guiding the company’s fiscal direction. Bethany has more than 19 years of industry experience and her financial acumen and analytical expertise contributes significantly to the company’s success in navigating complex financial landscapes.

Prior to her role at Beam Therapeutics, Ms. Cavanagh held the position of Executive Director, Financial Planning & Analysis at CRISPR Therapeutics, where she led financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis initiatives. Ms. Cavanagh also held senior level financial leadership roles at Dimension Therapeutics and Aegerion Pharmaceuticals.  She began her career in industry at Genzyme.

Ms. Cavanagh serves on the board of Addgene, acts as a Financial Advisor for the Termeer Institute and is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association

Ms. Cavanagh holds an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.A. in English from Roger Williams University.
